Job summary

Turner Construction Company invites an Intern/Co-Op to join an active Shelton, CT construction project. You will work under supervision to gain foundational knowledge in construction management, safety, and project coordination.

Enrolled students in engineering, architecture, or construction management programs will support the project team with meetings, document control, RFIs, and estimates, while learning to apply classroom concepts on site.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a college program (engineering, architecture, construction management) with at least one year of coursework.
• Desire to learn construction management and site operations.
• Ability to read and comprehend information and work on a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project start-up activities and support to engineers, superintendents, and managers.
• Support meeting coordination, file management, and progress reporting.
• Help with RFIs, submittals, and contract information distribution.
• Assist with quantity take-offs and learning project documentation.
• Maintain professional relationships with team, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Comply with safety protocols and wear PPE as required.
