Turner Construction Company is seeking an Intern/Co-Op to gain hands-on experience on an active construction project in Cincinnati, OH. You will work under supervision, supporting the project team with coordination, documentation, and reporting while learning core construction management concepts.

The role emphasizes applying classroom knowledge to real project activities, maintaining safety and professionalism, and developing relationships with team members, clients, and subcontractors on site.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a college/university degree program or Co-op; preferred majors include Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management.
• Must be 18 years of age to work on a construction site.
• Desire to work in construction management and to learn about the construction industry.
• Commitment to regular business hours and overtime as assigned.
• Demonstrate interpersonal skills including leadership or volunteer work.
• Professional and clear verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to read and comprehend written information.
• Proactive, curious, and eager to learn and participate.
• Able to work independently with direction and in a team environment.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support project team with meeting coordination, material tracking, file management, document control, and progress reporting.
• Follow project site signage and supervisor instructions as directed.
• Provide progress reports to supervisor and learn about construction management.
• Relate and apply knowledge from academia to work activities.
• Maintain professional relationships with employees, customers, clients, and subcontractors.
• Participate in training, meetings, and orientation.
• Comply with safety protocols and wear PPE.
• Assist with project start-up activities and support to Project Engineer/ superintendent/ manager; assist with RFIs, submittals, and estimates.
