Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an Intern/Co-Op to gain hands-on experience on active construction projects. You will assist with project start-up activities, coordination, reporting, and communication with architects, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an engineering, architecture, or construction management program with at least one year completed and a strong interest in learning about construction management and project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a college or university accredited degree program, with at least 1 year completed.
• Must be 18 years of age to work at a construction site.
• Desire to learn about construction management and the construction industry.
• Commitment to standard business hours and overtime as needed.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Support project team with meeting coordination, material tracking, file management, document control, and progress reporting.
• Follow project site signage and supervisor instructions.
• Provide progress reports and learn about construction management.
• Relate academic knowledge to work activities on the project.
• Maintain professional relationships with employees, customers, clients, and subcontractors.
• Participate in training, meetings, and orientation.
• Comply with safety protocols and wear PPE as required.
• Assist with project start-up activities and support Project Engineer/Project Manager.
