Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Omaha invites you to join its on-site internship program at the Omaha Main division. You'll shadow Project Engineers and Managers on active projects, learning construction management, budgeting, safety, and coordination.

This seasonal, non-exempt intern role requires you to be enrolled in a relevant degree, able to commute to site, and prepared to work standard hours with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a college/university accredited degree program or co-op, with minimum 1 year completed.
• Desire to work in construction management and learn about the industry.
• Ability to read and comprehend written information.

Responsibilities

• Support project team with meeting coordination, material tracking, file management, and progress reporting.
• Assist with project start-up activities and support to Project Engineer/Superintendent/Manager.
• Assist with collection and review of information for RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings.
• Assist with preparation of estimates for changes in work from subcontractors.
• Attend project site visits and document field activities.
• Communicate with Architects, Engineers, vendors, and subcontractors as assigned.
