Job summary

Turner Omaha is offering an internship/co-op at Omaha Main, designed to develop foundational knowledge in construction management, business and project financial management, safety, subcontractor relations, quality control, and lifecycle coordination.

Interns will join active project sites or offices, receive supervision, assist with document control, progress reporting, RFIs, shop drawings, estimates, and close-out preparations, with opportunities to earn educational credits.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a college/university accredited degree program or Co-op, with at least 1 year completed.
• Must be 18+ years old to work on site.
• Desire to work in construction management and learn about the industry.
• Commitment to standard hours and overtime as needed.
• Demonstrate interpersonal skills through leadership, volunteerism, or community involvement.
• Clear verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Support project team with meeting coordination, material tracking, file management, and progress reporting.
• Follow project site signage and supervisor instructions.
• Provide progress reports to supervisor and learn construction management concepts.
• Relate academic knowledge to work activities on site or in office.
• Maintain professional relationships with team, customers, clients, and subcontractors.
• Participate in training, meetings, and orientation.
• Comply with safety protocols and wear PPE as required.
• Assist with project start-up activities, estimates for changes, RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings.
