Job summary

Turner Construction is seeking an Intern for our Omaha, NE projects. This on-site role focuses on construction management basics, safety protocols, and coordination with the project team on day-to-day activities.

You will assist with meetings, document control, reports, and site communications, while gaining exposure to shop drawings, RFIs, and project administration. This is a non-remote, seasonal/Co-op opportunity designed for students pursuing relevant degrees.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited degree program or Co-op, 1 year completed education or equivalent
• Must be 18+ to work on-site construction
• Desire to learn construction management and industry knowledge
• Commitment to standard business hours and overtime as assigned
• Strong verbal and written communication in English
• Ability to read and comprehend written information
• Proactive, curious, and eager to learn in a team setting

Responsibilities

• Support project team with meeting coordination, material tracking, file management, and progress reporting
• Follow project site signage and supervisor instructions
• Provide progress reports to supervisor and learn about construction management
• Relate and apply classroom knowledge to work activities
• Maintain professional relationships with employees, customers, clients, and subcontractors
• Participate in training, meetings, and orientation
• Comply with safety protocols and wear PPE
• Assist with start-up activities, RFIs, shop drawings, and contract information as assigned
