Job summary

Cornerstone is seeking a Project Engineer to support construction projects by coordinating submittals, reviewing drawings, and managing project records. This role collaborates with project managers, architects, suppliers, and customers to ensure on-time, compliant delivery of project milestones.

You will prepare submittals, review drawings, and manage RFIs while developing hardware, furniture, and glass schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of Construction Project Engineering experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
• Experience preparing submittals and coordinating project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and coordinate project submittals and approval packages.
• Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Create and manage RFIs to clarify project requirements.
• Develop and maintain hardware, furniture, accessory, and glass schedules.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, suppliers, subcontractors, and customers.
• Review supplier drawings and technical documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Generate bills of materials and assist with procurement activities.
• Support change order documentation and project reporting.
• Maintain project records, closeout documentation, warranties, and O&M manuals.
• Ensure timely communication of project issues, risks, and status updates.
• Assist with engineering drawings and special project requirements.
