Job summary

Juniper in Lenexa, Kansas is seeking an entry to mid-level Construction Project Engineer to support the successful execution of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

You will assist project managers, manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and keep project documentation up to date while coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors. Local projects and a base salary of $80k–$120k DOE are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 1+ years of experience supporting commercial construction projects.
• Understanding of construction methods, scheduling, contracts, and building systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with planning and execution of commercial construction projects.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, change orders, meeting minutes, and project docs.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain progress.
• Track procurement of materials and long-lead items to support schedules.
• Monitor project budgets, cost reports, and subcontractor commitments.
• Assist with scheduling and identify risks or delays.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate action items.
• Support quality control and ensure compliance with documents and standards.
• Help facilitate project closeout, including punch lists, as-builts, warranties, and final docs.
