Job summary

DPR Construction seeks a dedicated project engineer to support successful delivery of construction projects. The role collaborates with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to meet requirements, timelines, and quality standards while maintaining field presence for safe work execution.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings and submittals, coordinating with managers, monitoring schedules and budgets, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field is required or equivalent experience.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification preferred; OSHA 30 program completion within 6 months of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure accuracy and compliance with project goals, while maintaining regular field presence to support safe work execution and participation in safety planning.
• Coordinate with project managers and project teams to address standard technical questions and resolve general project issues.
• Monitor standard project schedules and budgets, track labor productivity, and report variances to support timely corrective actions.
• Support the implementation of standard quality assurance and safety protocols throughout all project phases.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports and technical records.
• Identify opportunities for incremental improvements and contribute to development of leading practices with guidance.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate updates to team members and stakeholders.

Education

Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, related field

OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification (preferred)
