Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking a construction engineer to support successful delivery of projects across our teams. This role collaborates with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to meet requirements, timelines, and quality standards while monitoring progress and addressing routine project issues.

Ideal candidates have 0–4 years of experience in construction engineering or related fields, with OSHA 30 preferred and a willingness to pursue it within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field required.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification preferred; OSHA 30 program completion within 6 months of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure accuracy and compliance with project goals while maintaining regular field presence to support safe work execution.
• Coordinates with project managers and project teams to address standard technical questions and resolve general project issues.
• Monitors standard project schedules and budgets, tracks labor productivity, and reports variances to support timely corrective actions.
• Supports the implementation of standard quality assurance and safety protocols throughout all project phases.
• Prepares and maintains project documentation, including progress reports and technical records.
• Identifies opportunities for incremental improvements and contributes to developing leading practices with guidance.
• Participates in project meetings and communicates updates to team members and stakeholders.
