Job summary

Charles-Pankow-Builders is seeking a Construction Project Engineer / Project Engineer I in Pasadena, CA, to join a fast-paced project team. Under direction, you ensure conformance with construction documents, coordinate submittals, RFIs, and coordinate subcontractor work to keep a project on track.

You will translate docs into buildable plans, support the Superintendent with scheduling and material deliveries, and maintain project records, logs, daily diaries, and change management processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction related field preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with RFIs, submittals, and field coordination preferred.

Responsibilities

• Translate and coordinate project documents for field use (submittals, RFIs).
• Coordinate subcontractor work and track self-performed tasks.
• Assist in developing 3-week look-ahead schedules and support field operations.
• Maintain project records: logs, diaries, RFIs, submittals, and change management.
