Job summary

SG Contracting, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to support the project team, including the Project Manager, Superintendent, subcontractors, architect, consultants, and owner.

You will help gather information, prepare RFIs, PCOs, Change Orders, DCRs, monthly reports, schedule updates, billings, and all project correspondence, expanding your knowledge of construction practices and software. You will gain exposure to daily project interactions, develop leadership and time-management skills, and

Qualifications

• Experience: 1–5 years in construction, internships or co-op.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or similar is beneficial.
• Must be eager to learn computer programs that aid performance.

Responsibilities

• Interact daily with the project team to interpret needs and provide technical support.
• Demonstrate decision-making and leadership; manage time and stay organized.
• Assist in preparing the overall project schedule and provide updates as needed.
• Prepare RFIs, PCOs, Change Orders, DCRs, monthly reports, billings, and other project correspondence.
• Coordinate information among all project team members and ensure contract schedule of values readiness.
