Job summary

Pankow is seeking an Intern Engineer in Pasadena, CA to join a fast-paced construction team. Under supervision, you will translate construction documents into buildable plans and support the Superintendent in implementing the plans on site.

You will coordinate documents, RFIs, and submittals, track labor and materials, assist in look-ahead scheduling with Lean tools, and help manage project records and punch lists. Bachelor's degree in progress is required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field.
• Strong communication, sense of urgency, and teamwork required.

Responsibilities

• Translate and coordinate project document information (construction documents, submittals, RFIs) for field construction use.
• Coordinate subcontractor work and develop details for self-performed work.
• Coordinate and/or perform layout for self-performed work and track labor/quantities.
• Order and track materials for self-performed work and verify installed work.
• Identify and resolve omissions and inconsistencies via RFIs and coordinate resolutions with the project team.
• Assist in developing 3-week look ahead schedule using Lean tools and assist with subcontractor scheduling.
