Job summary

DPR Construction in Texas is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to support successful project delivery, collaborating with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to meet requirements, timelines, and quality standards.

You will monitor progress, identify issues, and contribute to continuous improvement while maintaining field presence and safety practices. A relevant degree and up to 4 years of experience are required, with OSHA 30 preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, a related field, or equivalent experience required.
• 0 - 4 years of experience in construction engineering, project engineering, or a related field required.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification preferred. OSHA 30 program completion within 6 months of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and compliance with project goals.
• Coordinate with project managers and project teams to address standard technical questions and resolve general project issues.
• Monitor standard project schedules and budgets, track labor productivity, and report variances to support timely corrective actions.
• Support the implementation of standard quality assurance and safety protocols throughout all project phases.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports and technical records.
• Identify opportunities for incremental improvements and contribute to the development of leading practices with guidance.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate updates to team members and stakeholders.
