Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking a seasoned construction engineer to facilitate successful project delivery through technical expertise and collaboration with project managers, architects, and subcontractors. The role emphasizes adherence to schedules, quality standards, and risk mitigation in moderately complex projects.

The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and OSHA 30 certification (preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, a related field, or equivalent experience required.
• 4-6 years of experience in construction engineering, project engineering, or a related field required.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification preferred; OSHA 30 program completion within 6 months of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Reviews moderately complex technical aspects of construction projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality benchmarks, while maintaining consistent field presence to support safe execution of work, participating in safety meetings including stretch and flex, and applying working knowledge of high-risk activities to support effective planning and controlled outcomes.
• Coordinates with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to resolve moderately complex technical challenges on projects, ensuring uninterrupted crew productivity and project progress.
• Reviews and provides feedback on construction drawings, submittals, and change orders for accuracy and alignment with project goals.
• Supports the implementation of project controls, including schedule tracking and cost monitoring, to support timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Prepares and presents progress reports, and technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Identifies and mitigates risks on projects through field analysis and the application of engineering solutions.
• Supports less experienced project team members in resolving moderately complex project issues and provides technical expertise on safety and quality standards.
