Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced project engineering leader to manage and supervise engineering and administrative policies at the project level. You will coordinate with field operations to ensure information transfer is clear and implemented, and lead the engineering staff through performance reviews.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and eight years of related experience, with strong leadership, communication, and knowledge of BIM and scheduling software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree plus minimum of eight years' related experience or equivalent combination.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, cost control procedures, estimating, costs, scheduling, purchasing, and engineering principles and techniques.
• Strong written and verbal communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise engineering and administrative policies, procedures and functions at project level.
• Coordinate with project field operations to ensure information transfer is delivered and understood.
• Lead, supervise and develop Turner engineering staff and conduct performance appraisals.
• Ensure safety, ethics and compliance requirements are followed.
• Communicate information among all project team members and stakeholders.
• Develop GMP or initial project budget with Preconstruction, Estimating and Purchasing; lead preconstruction efforts.
• Review construction documents for constructability and QA/QC; raise issues with design professionals.
• Prepare procurement schedules for subcontractors and major purchases to meet schedule.
• Manage project financials and prepare status reports.
• Schedule and document meetings with owner, architect and coordination teams.
• Manage subcontract change orders, negotiations and approvals; close-out and records retention.
• Work on-site at construction sites; ensure ability to work in challenging environments.
