Job summary

W.E. O'Neil Construction in Austin, TX is seeking a Project Engineer to support the project team in administration and management activities on active construction projects.

The role involves setting up CMiC modules, organizing submittals and RFIs, and coordinating plans and documentation for onsite execution. You will work with field supervision to ensure timely material deliveries, maintain logs, and assist in project meetings and closeout deliverables.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field.
• Proficiency with CMiC, submittals, RFIs, and material procurement processes.
• Good written and spoken communication skills.
• Familiarity with construction administration tools (Bluebeam, PlanGrid, BIM 360 Glue).
• Understanding of schedules and basic daily software tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project team with administration and management of project activities.
• Set up CMiC modules, Submittal Logs, RFI numbering, and PlanGrid for document control.
• Oversee submittal and RFI logs and ensure timely updates.
• Coordinate with field staff to manage material deliveries and procurement logs.
• Support project meetings, minutes, and closeout documentation.
• Participate in safety trainings and PE-related events as needed.
