Job summary

W.E. O'Neil Construction in Irvine, CA is seeking an entry-level Assistant Project Engineer intern to support the project team with administrative and engineering tasks on a construction project.

You will help set up CMiC and PlanGrid, maintain logs, assist in meetings, and support the procurement and closeout processes while developing professional skills toward a Project Engineer role.

Qualifications

• Entry-level internship designed for undergraduates seeking growth in project management.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Understanding of basic construction administration processes (docs, schedules, RFIs, submittals).

Responsibilities

• Assist with job office set up.
• Assist the project team with the initial set up of CMiC, i.e. Submittal Log Registry.
• Prepare and maintain Submittal Logs.
• Assist the project team with the initial set up of PlanGrid to organize the contract documents for the teams use.
• Assist the project team with managing progress photo documentation via PlanGrid.
• Enter RFIs in CMiC and distribute to appropriate project team members.
• Prepare and maintain RFI Logs in CMiC.
• Assist in posting RFIs to Contract Documents and maintaining the accuracy of the project as-builts.
• Assist with updating the Material Procurement Log and assist with expediting procurement of all materials/equipment.
• Work with PE/SPE/APM to compile contract close out documents.
