Job summary

W.E. O’Neil Construction in Austin, TX seeks an Assistant Project Manager to help the project team with administration and management of construction activities, including potentially taking overall responsibility for a smaller project.

This role involves coordination with PMs, estimators, and field staff, managing submittals, change orders, cost control, safety programs, and CMiC/PlanGrid tools to support project delivery.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or equivalent experience in related field.
• Experience in construction administration processes including contracts, schedules and procurement.
• Proficiency with CMiC, PlanGrid and scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administration and management of construction project activities.
• Support PMs and Estimator during preconstruction and GMP processes.
• Prepare cost control documentation, change orders and subcontractor communications.
• Maintain submittal logs, RFI logs and project logs.
• Coordinate with field teams to ensure safety and timely procurement.
