Job summary

DPR Construction in Dallas is seeking a Construction Engineer to assist in delivering projects, coordinating with teams, and ensuring timely, safe execution. This role supports review of drawings, tracking schedules and budgets, and contributing to continuous improvement across projects.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field, 0–4 years of experience, and OSHA 30 within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field.
0–4 years of experience in construction engineering or related field.
OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required within 6 months of hire; OSHA 30 program completion preferred.

Responsibilities

Assists in reviewing drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure accuracy and alignment with project goals; supports safe work execution.
Coordinates with project managers and teams to address standard technical questions and resolve general project issues.
Monitors project schedules and budgets, tracks labor productivity, and reports variances to enable timely corrective actions.
Supports implementation of standard QA and safety protocols across all project phases.
Prepares and maintains project documentation, including progress reports and technical records.
Identifies opportunities for incremental improvements and contributes to shared best practices.
Participates in project meetings and communicates updates to the team and stakeholders.
