Job summary

ETC Companies, LLC, a large Northern New Jersey-based general contractor, seeks a full-time Construction Project Engineer to support the project manager and team from project set-up through execution. The role involves both on-site and in-office work as needed.

You will assist with schedule development, subcontractor/vendor contracts, procurement, document control, RFIs/RFPs, and coordination meetings. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• OSHA-10 certification required or highly desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer proficiency; Timberline experience a plus.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Broad understanding of the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Manage the construction administration process from pre-construction through close out.
• Coordinate, organize, track, update and/or expedite the flow of information, files, drawings, permits, and correspondence.
• Assist in developing and updating the project schedule.
• Assist in the management and negotiation of subcontractor and material vendor contracts.
• Process change orders.
• Document control, including daily maintenance of the material listing.
• Distribute RFIs and RFPs upon delegation from PM.
• Maintain unit entry matrix schedules.
• Log and organize drawings, ensure current set is maintained.
• Participate in weekly progress and coordination meetings.
• Monitor project specific MBE/WBE requirements.
• Assist in preparation of monthly AIA billings.
• Coordinate and schedule on-site material deliveries.
• Work with PMs on project deliverables.
• Write/edit O&M manuals coordinating with vendors and subs for documentation.
• Coordinate communication between all project team members.
• Other related projects as assigned.

Large Northern New Jersey based General Contractor is seeking a full-time Construction Project Engineer. In this role, you will assist the project manager and team with the project set up and project execution to meet the requirements and goals of the client. This is a position that will require you to be both on-site and in-office when needed.
