Job summary

Design Group, part of Barry-Wehmiller, is seeking a Project Director, Construction to lead regional industrial projects from inception to closeout. You will guide teams handling food & beverage, life sciences, and manufacturing facilities, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

You will mentor and grow a high-performing team, manage budgets and risks, and engage with clients to secure strong outcomes across projects.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in diverse construction roles and 8+ years in construction management.
• Proven ability to lead complex industrial construction projects end-to-end.
• Experience with Construction and A&E design-build projects.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional construction engagements from client meetings to final closeouts.
• Oversee budget, schedule, safety, and quality across projects.
• Mentor project teams and coordinate with design, engineering, and client stakeholders.
• Assist in proposals, risk assessment, and contract negotiations.
