Job summary

Ragle Incorporated, a leading heavy civil construction company, seeks a Project Cost Accountant to manage financial aspects of our construction projects across multiple states. You will ensure accurate cost tracking, budgeting, and reporting to support profitability, collaborating with project managers, engineers, and field teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 3+ years cost accounting experience, construction preferred.
• CPA or CMA certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze project costs (labor, materials, equipment, subs) to stay within budgets.
• Prepare detailed cost reports, variance analyses, and forecasts for ongoing projects.
• Assist in budgets, change orders, and contract negotiations with accurate financial data.
• Track job progress through cost coding, invoicing, and AP/AR reconciliation for projects.
• Collaborate with project managers to review cost performance and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
