Job summary

Johnson Construction Group is seeking a Project Coordinator to support our commercial and residential construction operations in the Atlanta metro area, splitting time between our Newnan office and active jobsites.

You will assist Project Managers and the General Superintendent by keeping documentation current, tracking materials and selections, and moving information between jobsite and office. This is a coordination and documentation role, with a clear path into advancement.

Qualifications

• Construction knowledge required; not a management role.
• Strong computer skills, especially Excel.
• Ability to read construction drawings, scopes of work, and project documents.
• Excellent organization and follow-through; attention to detail.
• Willingness to ask questions and learn on the job.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update project schedules built by the Project Manager.
• Keep electronic and physical project files organized, current, and correctly named.
• Track material orders, delivery dates, lead times, client selections, and outstanding approvals.
• Assemble and file submittals, RFIs, purchase orders, permits, inspection records, and closeout documents.
• Prepare and distribute meeting notes, action items, and project updates.
• Collect pricing and information from subcontractors and vendors.
• Visit jobsites to document progress, take photographs, and record conditions.
• Produce clean field sketches and markups for others to use.
• Flag missing information or delays and follow up on actions.
