Job summary

Skanska USA is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from preconstruction through close-out. You will work closely with project managers, superintendents, field staff, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

This role emphasizes project administration, cost control, schedule monitoring, submittals, RFIs, procurement support, and collaboration across the project team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years creating documentation such as RFIs and client correspondence.
• 5+ years reading and understanding construction plans and specs.
• 5+ years preparing subcontract scopes and contracts.
• 3+ years experience with project close out.
• 2+ years working with cost control systems.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from preconstruction through close-out.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, field staff, subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and design partners.
• Maintain project controls and reporting, manage submittals and RFIs, assist with procurement and schedule updates.
• Contribute to buyout, procurement activities, and change management.
• Promote quality and safety across all phases of construction.
