Job summary

Skanska is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from preconstruction through close-out. You will work closely with project managers, field staff, subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and design partners to help ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Qualifications

• 5+ years creating documentation such as RFIs, and client correspondence on issues related to the notification provisions in contracts.
• 5+ years reading and understanding construction plans and drawings and the technical specifications associated with drawings. Able to outline specifications required for submission to clients and ensure submittals and shop drawings are approved.
• 5+ years preparing subcontract scopes and contracts.
• 3+ years experience with project close out.
• 2+ years working with cost control systems.
• Bachelor’s Degree – Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordination and execution of construction projects from preconstruction through close-out.
• Support project managers, superintendents, field staff, subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and design partners to deliver projects safely, on time, within budget, and per contract requirements.
• Maintain project controls and reporting, contracts and purchase order administration, submittals and RFIs, procurement support, and schedule updates.
• Promote collaboration across the project team and ensure quality and safety throughout all phases of construction.
• Assist with site visits, monitor installation progress, address project issues, and support field operations.
