Job summary

FCL Builders, LLC in Itasca, IL is seeking a Project Assistant to support Project Managers throughout the lifecycle, maintaining files, change orders, and warranty packages while coordinating with internal teams and external partners.

You will handle subcontractor contracts, track insurance certificates, and assist with meeting minutes, transmittals, and correspondence in a fast-paced office setting.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of construction administration experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Managers to prepare accurate legal and contract documents.
• Set up and maintain physical job files, owner status books, and warranty packages.
• Distribute subcontractor contracts and track insurance certificates.
• Enter and track change orders after approval and route for signatures.
• Upload project information in company software (drawings, logs, RFIs).
• Prepare correspondence, permit responses, meeting minutes, and transmittals.
• Provide general office support and receptionist coverage.
• Demonstrate professional communication and teamwork with partners.
