Job summary

Structure Tone, part of STO Building Group, seeks an Accounting Administrator in New York to support project accounting and administrative functions across the full lifecycle from setup to closeout.

The role requires 2+ years in construction accounting or project-based financial administration, strong Excel skills, and meticulous organization to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or financial administration experience.
• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office, with strong proficiency in Excel.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project setup, including job information, billing requirements, contract values, and related accounting system updates.
• Assist with accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, vendor payment support, coding verification, and resolution of AP-related inquiries.
• Maintain organized electronic and physical files.
• Prepare correspondence and respond to subcontractor inquiries related to lien waivers, contracts, and subcontractor compliance documentation to support accurate project administration.
• Support special projects and audits as required.
• Support project closeout and organize required financial documentation.
