Job summary

LHH is partnering with our client to recruit a Senior Accountant specializing in project-based construction and infrastructure services in Pennsylvania. This role offers exposure to large-scale projects and close collaboration with senior leadership to strengthen accounting operations during a period of growth.

The ideal candidate has construction and project accounting experience, strong technical knowledge, and a process-improvement mindset.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Construction accounting/project accounting/engineering or contracting industry experience preferred.
Strong understanding of debits and credits, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
Advanced Excel with reporting and data analysis.
Experience with ERP and project management systems.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Support all aspects of month-end and year-end close activities.
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
Manage project accounting activities, including job costing and project profitability analysis.
Maintain and analyze Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules and reporting.
Monitor project costs, budgets, and revenue recognition.
Assist with customer invoicing, billing processes, and collections support.
