Job summary

LHH is partnering with a growing construction organization to recruit an experienced Assistant Controller to support the accounting and finance function in Pennsylvania. You will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, assist with month-end close, financial reporting, and job cost accounting across multiple projects and entities, applying GAAP and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting required; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in construction.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and experience with WIP/job cost accounting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and schedules.
• Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Monitor project profitability, job costs, WIP, and revenue recognition.
• Coordinate audits, tax filings, and lender requests.
