Job summary

LHH is partnering with our client to recruit a Senior Accountant specializing in project-based construction and infrastructure services in Pennsylvania. This role offers exposure to large-scale projects and close collaboration with senior leadership to strengthen accounting operations during a period of growth.

The ideal candidate has construction and project accounting experience, strong technical knowledge, and a process-improvement mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Construction accounting/project accounting/engineering or contracting industry experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of debits and credits, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
• Advanced Excel with reporting and data analysis.
• Experience with ERP and project management systems.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of month-end and year-end close activities.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Manage project accounting activities, including job costing and project profitability analysis.
• Maintain and analyze Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules and reporting.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and revenue recognition.
• Assist with customer invoicing, billing processes, and collections support.

Compensation:

$90,000- $120,000
