Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions partnered with an established construction organization in the Dallas–Fort Worth area to find a Construction Project Accountant to own the financial aspects of construction projects from setup to closeout.

The role requires 5+ years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in construction/project accounting, with Procore and Sage Intacct expertise preferred. Collaboration with PMs and operations is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in construction/project accounting.
• Experience with general contractors; subcontractor accounting is a plus.
• Solid understanding of full-cycle construction project accounting, job costing, AIA/progress billing, change orders, and reconciliations.
• Familiarity with WIP reporting and cost-to-complete analysis.
• Procore experience for project billing; Sage Intacct or similar is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle project accounting from setup to closeout.
• Prepare AIA and progress billings with contract compliance.
• Track project costs, budgets, change orders, commitments and profitability.
• Review subcontractor invoices, purchase orders and supporting docs for proper coding.
• Coordinate construction compliance docs (certified payroll, bonds, COIs, lien waivers).
• Manage project billing and reconciliations using Procore.
