Job summary

Chamberlin Roofing & Waterproofing is seeking an entry-level Accountant in Houston to support project accounting, billings, and reporting. You will help monitor contract compliance and analyze monthly Work-in-Progress results while maintaining accurate cost structures.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, have strong Excel skills, and are self-motivated with solid attention to detail. CPA experience is not required, but exposure to job costing and WIP is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or higher is required or equivalent.
• Exposure to Job Costing and Percent Complete/Work-in-Process is required.
• Experience in Construction or related field is preferred, 0-2 years.
• CPA experience not required but a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office products.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customer billings and support collections efforts.
• Monitor projects for contract compliance
• Analyze monthly Work-in-Progress results
• Maintain Cost structure and data integrity
• Support Project Managers on accounting and reporting issues
• Work with AR/AP on cash and collections
• Assist in audits as needed
• Assist with financials relating to inventor and subcontractors
• Certified Payroll
• Other responsibilities as needed or assigned
