Job summary

Formcraft in Philadelphia, PA is seeking an experienced Construction Project Accountant to support the financial management of construction projects. You will handle job costing, WIP reporting, project billing support, payroll reconciliation, and month-end close activities, partnering with project managers and accounting staff.

The role requires attention to detail, GAAP knowledge, and strong Excel skills to ensure accurate forecasts, budgets, and financial statements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, strongly preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in construction industry.
Proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, modeling).
Knowledge of GAAP and construction accounting concepts.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

Prepare financial statements, job cost reports, WIP schedules and summaries.
Analyze project costs, budgets, forecasts, and performance for cost control.
Collaborate with project managers to develop forecasts and explain variances.
Support job costing, retainage tracking, contract billing, and profitability analysis.
Deliver management reports with key metrics and recommendations.
