Southland Industries Inc. is seeking a Project Accountant to coordinate all phases of the construction job costing process for a large project and several smaller, less complex projects.

You will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure timely and accurate accounting, risk management, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of project accounting experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting/finance.
• 3–5 years’ project accounting experience preferred.
• Strong accounting knowledge and ability to prioritize and multi-task.

Mansioni

• Compiles, prepares, and analyzes monthly project billings per contract requirements.
• Performs financial analysis and reconciliation of project costs versus budget.
• Manages vendor compliance, insurance, lien waivers, retention and W-9s.
• Produces and analyzes job performance and profitability through cost tracking reports.
• Assists in preparing status reports and maintains accurate project statuses and budget information.
• Identifies and resolves basic to complex project-related accounting issues in a timely manner.
