Southland Industries is seeking a Project Accountant to coordinate all phases of construction job costing, billing, and cost analysis on a major project. You will work with the Project Manager to manage risk, ensure accuracy, and support decision making.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience) and 3–5 years of project accounting. Strong Excel skills and confidentiality are essential for success.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of project accounting experience preferred.
• Strong accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet tight deadlines.
• Commitment to confidentiality and discretion.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; experience with COINs is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and analyze monthly project billings per contract requirements.
• Perform financial analysis and reconciliation of project costs versus budget.
• Manage vendor compliance, insurance, lien waivers, retention and W‑9s.
• Produce and analyze job performance and profitability through cost tracking reports.
• Assist in status reports and maintain accurate project budgets in COINs.
• Identify and resolve basic to complex project accounting issues promptly.
