Job summary

Jobot in Delray Beach, FL is seeking a dynamic Permanent Project Accountant to join our growing construction team. You will oversee budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting across multiple projects.

Collaborate with project managers and finance to ensure accurate financials and transparency. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required, with CPA/CMA preferred; 5+ years in project accounting in the construction industry is ideal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in construction.
• Proficiency in accounts payable/receivable, cost accounting and financial analysis.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing all financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting and reporting.
• Managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
• Conducting regular financial analysis to identify cost overruns and inefficiencies.
• Collaborating with project managers to develop budgets and forecast future costs.
• Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Preparing regular financial reports for senior management highlighting trends and risks.
• Working with the finance team to integrate project accounting with overall company finances.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
