Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Accounting Manager for a construction-focused role. You will oversee all accounting functions, manage financial reporting, and work closely with project managers and vendors to ensure accuracy and compliance.

The position is full-time and located in a fast-paced construction environment. A CPA or master’s degree is preferred, with 5+ years of construction accounting experience and strong leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years construction accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Proficient with accounting software and system implementations.
• Experience with journal entries, cash flow, and labor payments.
• Excellent analytical, detail-oriented, and organizational skills.
• Strong leadership abilities to manage a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all general accounting functions including AP, AR, GL, and taxes.
• Coordinate preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws.
• Manage cash flow and forecast cash needs.
• Supervise payroll processing and labor payments.
• Assist with annual audits and internal controls.
