Job summary

Nox Group, owner of Corbins, is seeking a Project Accountant to support large-scale construction projects. You will be the financial partner to Project Managers, Operations, and Corporate Accounting, ensuring project data is timely, accurate, and actionable.

Key duties include setting up projects in the ERP system, reviewing costs, preparing monthly WIP forecasts, managing change orders and billings, and ensuring subcontractor compliance.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in project accounting
• Familiarity with construction accounting and project structures in GC/Subcontractor environments a plus
• Construction ERP experience (Spectrum preferred); proficient with Microsoft Office required
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication with operations, customers, vendors and stakeholders
• Ability to maintain precision and accuracy in financial reporting and documentation
• Team player with strong service orientation

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain projects in the ERP system with contract values, billing structures, tax treatment, and phase codes
• Review and process project costs and documentation for accuracy and compliance
• Partner with Project Managers for weekly financial reviews and escalating risks
• Prepare monthly WIP forecasts and analyze profitability, percent complete, and cost trends
• Review committed costs and purchase orders against budgets for exposure
• Process job cost corrections and maintain phase code structure for accurate reporting
• Identify and escalate sales and use tax discrepancies
• Support Operations with contracts, changes, and cost controls
• Complete month-end close responsibilities on schedule
• Manage accounts payable ensuring alignment with contract terms
• Track billings and collections and maintain schedules of values
• Support project closeout with final billings and lien waivers
• Ensure subcontractor documentation (insurance, waivers, W-9) is up-to-date
