Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Construction Manager to provide qualified management of program construction activities in a fast-paced design and delivery environment. You will coordinate daily onsite activities, support schedule development, and ensure QA/QC through plan reviews and submittals.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in civil/environmental engineering or construction management and 5+ years in the field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of construction management experience.
• OSHA and MSHA training and certifications are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily onsite construction activities with the owner and a liaison with contractors, design professionals, clients and relevant external parties.
• Provides input to the development of project schedules, coordinates the work according to approved schedules, reports schedule deviations and provides recommendations on any schedule modifications.
• Reviews plans, specifications, requests for information, submittals, construction schedules, shop drawings and pay applications (QA/QC).
• Prepares final documentation for closeout process.
• Promotes safety controls and trains/mentors construction administration staff.
