Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Construction Manager to lead on-site construction activities within a fast-paced design and delivery environment. You will coordinate with owners, contractors and design professionals to keep projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in civil/environmental engineering or construction management with at least 5 years of experience. OSHA/MSHA training is an asset. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and team mentoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of construction management experience.
• OSHA and MSHA training and certifications are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily onsite construction activities with owner and contractors, design professionals, clients and external parties.
• Develops project schedules, tracks progress, and reports deviations with recommendations.
• Reports deviations from contract documents and codes and follows up to resolution.
• Schedules reviews and inspections and maintains records of work performed and inspected.
• Meets with project team to review construction status, issues and concerns.
• Ensures cost, schedule and quality standards are met across activities.
• Reviews plans, specifications, RFIs, submittals, schedules and pay applications.
• Prepares final documentation for closeout and maintains project records.
• Supports safety controls and promotes a safe workplace.
• Trains and mentors construction administration staff.
