Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a Construction Manager in South Carolina.

You will provide qualified management of program construction activities in a fast-paced, design and delivery environment, coordinating with owners, contractors and design professionals to ensure project success. Responsibilities include developing schedules, QA/QC reviews, safety oversight, and closeout documentation, with emphasis on meeting cost, schedule and quality targets.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of construction principles, techniques and safety precautions.
• Ability to discuss project issues with contractor, project team and clients, including conflict resolution.
• Strong organizational skills and scheduling abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of critical path method scheduling.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily onsite construction activities with owner, contractors and design professionals.
• Develops and monitors project schedules, reports deviations and recommends modifications.
• Reviews plans, specifications, RFIs, submittals, schedules and pay applications (QA/QC).
• Prepares final documentation for closeout and maintains project records.
• Promotes a safe workplace and implements safety controls.
• Trains and mentors construction administration staff.
• Maintains file management of project-related information.
• Ensures cost, schedule and quality standards are met.
