Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Construction Manager to provide fully qualified management of program construction activities in a fast-paced professional, design and delivery environment. This role requires coordinating onsite activities with owners, contractors and design professionals to ensure projects meet schedule, budget and quality goals.

The candidate will oversee safety, training and mentoring of staff while maintaining records and closeout documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of construction management experience.
• OSHA and MSHA training and certifications are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily onsite construction activities with owner, contractors, design professionals and clients.
• Develops and follows project schedules; reports deviations and recommends modifications.
• Monitors cost, schedule and quality; ensures QA/QC on plans, drawings and submittals.
• Prepares final documentation for closeout and maintains project records.
• Promotes safety, trains staff, and mentors construction administration personnel.
• Reviews coordination documents and ensures occupancy requirements and permits are met.
