Job summary

Greenwood Industries in Worcester, MA is seeking an experienced Purchasing Coordinator to support project teams by sourcing materials, equipment, and services for commercial construction. The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

You will create and track purchase orders, coordinate deliveries to project sites, evaluate vendor quotes for price and delivery, and contribute to cost-control

Qualifications

• 2+ years of purchasing, procurement, or construction administration experience.
• Experience in commercial construction preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Experience with ERP or construction management software preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure materials, equipment, tools, and services for projects.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor quotes for pricing, quality, and delivery.
• Create, process, and track purchase orders through completion.
• Coordinate material deliveries to project sites and facilities.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors.
• Review purchasing documentation and reconcile invoices.
• Work with Project Managers, Operations, and accounting on procurement.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative sourcing.
