Job summary

Bechtel in Reston, VA is seeking a Planner to support construction execution on a 1.3 GW power generation project near Millersport, Ohio. You will develop and maintain Advanced Work Packaging, IWPs, and readiness plans, using 4D scheduling tools to optimize sequencing.

Collaborate with Field Engineering, Superintendents, Project Controls, Supply Chain, and Construction teams to forecast work, track constraints, and ensure labor, materials, and equipment align with priorities as the project

Qualifications

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience.
Experience with construction sequencing and workface planning.
Familiarity with Advanced Work Packaging (AWP), Construction Work Packages (CWPs), and Installation Work Packages (IWPs).
Proficient in scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project).
Knowledge of 4D planning and visualization tools (Synchro, Navisworks).
Understanding of drawings, specifications, and engineering deliverables.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) and Installation Work Packages (IWPs).
Create and maintain construction readiness plans and workface planning activities.
Utilize 4D scheduling and visualization to optimize sequencing and productivity.
Coordinate with Field Engineering, Superintendents, Project Controls, Supply Chain and Construction teams.
Support hydrotest planning and turnover readiness.
Review subcontractor submittals and inspection plans.
