Job summary

Bechtel Corporation seeks a Workface Planner & Hydrotest Coordinator to advance Advanced Work Packaging (AWP), IWPs, and hydrotest planning on the Maple Creek project. You will coordinate across Construction, Field Engineering, Project Controls, Supply Chain, Startup, and subcontractors to develop executable work packages and remove constraints.

Initially supporting project setup from Reston, VA, you will mobilize to Indiana to support field execution, hydrotest coordination, workface planning,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years total experience.
• Understanding of construction sequencing and workface planning principles.
• Familiarity with Advanced Work Packaging (AWP), Construction Work Packages (CWPs), and Installation Work Packages (IWPs).
• Experience using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling software.
• Experience with 4D planning and visualization tools (Synchro, Navisworks, or similar).
• Preferred understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and engineering deliverables.
• Familiarity with hydrotest planning, mechanical completion, and turnover processes.
• Preferred ability to identify construction constraints and support readiness planning.
• Experience tracking quantities, productivity, and progress metrics.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with field and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepares construction drawings and sketches.
• Facilitates planning construction methods and procedures.
• Initiates requisitions for field purchases.
• Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.
• Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems.
• Ensures zero-accident philosophy and safe operation of tools and equipment.
• Develops understanding of system scope and drawings for package development.
• Reviews and approves inspection test plans and subcontractor submittals.
