Job summary

US CareerLink is seeking a Construction Project Coordinator for a Chicago-area civil contractor. This full-time, office-based role supports excavation, demolition, hauling, utility, and sitework operations from the McKinley Park area.

Occasional site visits and coordination with field teams are required. The role emphasizes permitting, agency coordination, and detailed project administration, with a five-day on-site schedule and no visa sponsorship offered.

Qualifications

• At least one year of professional construction experience is required.
• Experience in heavy civil, excavation, demolition, utilities, sitework, permitting, municipal coordination, logistics, safety documentation, or construction administration is preferred.
• This is an on-site five days per week role in McKinley Park, Chicago.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States; the employer cannot provide visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, submit, track, and obtain permits for excavation, demolition, hauling, utility work, street openings, and related construction activities.
• Coordinate with municipalities, inspectors, utility agencies, trucking authorities, project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Maintain contractor licenses, municipal registrations, permit logs, certifications, renewal calendars, project postings, safety records, utility-locate documentation, daily field reports, and project files.
• Coordinate inspections, JULIE/811 locates, traffic-control requirements, haul-route and oversize permits, disposal documentation, trucking schedules, dump tickets, deliveries, equipment transport, and project closeout records.
