Hoxton Circle is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage weekly payroll for 60–70 employees in a Monterey, CA area construction environment. The role handles union classifications, fringe benefits, and payroll-related onboarding, with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality.

You will process payroll, review time records and pay rates, manage deductions, benefits, and direct deposits, and respond to payroll questions. Experience with construction payroll platforms is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience running union payroll in construction.
• Experience with fringe benefits, deductions, and payroll reporting.
• Ability to handle multiple pay rates/classifications with confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for 60–70 employees, including union classifications.
• Administer fringe benefits, deductions, and HSA contributions.
• Handle onboarding, tax forms, direct deposit, and benefits enrollment.
• Maintain accurate payroll and employee records across systems.
• Prepare workers' compensation payroll reports and wage data.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries.
• Coordinate with prevailing wage reporting and IT/ERP system data transfers.
