Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience processing payroll.
• Experience preparing union or certified payroll reports.
• Payroll experience working in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local tax filings.
• Knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance.
• Accurate data entry and math calculations.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work with Supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Enter timesheet and equipment data into payroll system.
• Review timesheet information for inconsistencies and follow up.
• Reconcile payroll entries, corrections, and transfers.
• Prepare manual checks as needed.
• Respond to inquiries from government agencies.
• Prepare and submit certified payroll in contracts.
• Print and file reports and maintain confidentiality.
• Assist HR with payroll-related tasks and monthly union reports.
• Handle employee payroll questions and issues.
