Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll experience in construction or electrical contracting.
• Experience with multi-union payroll and fringe benefits.
• Familiarity with certified payroll and prevailing wage requirements and systems (e.g., LCP Tracker, California DIR).
• Proficiency in payroll software.
• Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for field employees.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Coordinate with HR and accounting departments to ensure accurate employee data.
• Support onboarding of new employees, including entering payroll data, verifying documentation, and ensuring proper setup in payroll systems.
• Handle prevailing wage and certified payroll reporting for projects.
• Manage payroll deductions, garnishments, and union benefit reporting.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll concerns and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with year-end reporting including W-2s and other tax documents.
• Assist with internal and external audits related to payroll, union reporting, and certified payroll.
